In Tajikistan, a bunker found with $36 mln. in bags, gold and 6 cars belonging to employee of anti-corruption agency in Tajikistan

Employees of the State Committee for National Security of Tajikistan discovered a bunker containing bags of money, gold, precious stones and 6 Jeep cars belonging to Firdavs Niyozbadalov, employee of the anti-corruption agency of the country, Ahbor newspaper reports.

The cache was found on May 16 in Buston town during search of Niyozbadalov’s parents house.

The report says that Niyozbadalov is a son-in-law of the former secretary of the National Security Council Amirkul Azimov. His father, Abdugaffor Niyozbadalov, is a former deputy prosecutor of Sughd region and lived near the airport of Khujand. His mansion consists of 6 houses with surveillance cameras and underground garages.

According to eyewitnesses, Niyozbadalov’s elder brother has voluntarily showed investigators the hidden entrance to the bunker. The eyewitnesses saw several bags with dollars, gold and precious stones that were taken from the bunker.
