Kyrgyz citizens staying abroad to vote in constitutional referendum in 28 countries

Thirty five polling stations have been established in 28 countries of the world for the constitutional referendum, the Foreign Ministry of Kyrgyzstan said.

The voter list abroad includes 14,004 Kyrgyz citizens.

The voter information check campaign has been launched abroad for Kyrgyzstanis, allowing citizens to confirm accuracy of their information.

“Our agencies meet with citizens, students, law enforcers in connection with the upcoming referendum,” Foreign Ministry’s spokesperson Aimkan Kulukeyeva said.

Some 7 million soms were allocated from the Foreign Ministry’s budget for organization of voting process.

Six polling stations will be in Russia, 2 in Kazakhstan, 3 in Germany, 1 polling station in each other foreign country.

The constitutional referendum will be held on December 11.
