Uzbekistan to hold population census in 2022

Uzbekistan will hold the census of population in 2022. The last census was conducted in 1989.
The accurate information on population and well-being is an important basis for preparation of long-term forecasts and state target programs of socio-economic development, program of creation of new work places, the presidential order on census reads.
The line ministries will prepare a draft law on population census before July 1.
