Mirziyoyev to make first official visit to Russia

New leader of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoev will make his first visit to Russia, reports Isvestiya, citing a senior source in the Uzbek government.
The Uzbek leader’s visit will be made next year, when Mirziyoyev’s term officially begins.
Ministries and departments of Uzbekistan have already started preparing the visit to Moscow. Different ministries are actively preparing policy briefs for the President.
The inauguration will take place before New Year, the visit will be made either in winter or next spring.
Interim President Shavkat Mirziyoev won landslide victory in the country’s first presidential election held last Sunday since the death of Uzbekistan’s only president Islam Karimov.
Mirziyoyev, a supporter of the former president, had won 88.61% of votes.
