Taiwan wants to buy sea buckthorn from Mongolia
Bishkek (AKIpress) – Sea-buckthorn Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry of Mongolia Purev Sergelen held talks with the representatives of the Taiwanese government, according to GoGo Mongolia.
The Taiwanese side expressed intention to buy a large amount of sea buckthorn from Mongolia, however, the country has no enough amount of the berry to cover the Taiwan’s demand.
The Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry is implementing a sea buckthorn program until 2020, aiming to reduce poverty and provide employment opportunities in the country.
To date, the Food Ministry has completed the first phase for exporting sea buckthorn to Europe in cooperation with the relevant French organizations. Some enterprises export sea buckthorn oil to Japan and the U.S.
