CEC Chairman meets with Ambassador of Kazakhstan
On November 21, Chairman of the Central Election Commission M. Abdusalomov held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan in our country E. Utembaev.
The CEC Chairman briefed the Ambassador on the work conducted by the central, district and precinct election commissions in the framework of the Program of main measures on preparation and holding of elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which will take place on 4 December this year.
To ensure transparency and openness of the electoral process, as in previous elections, the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan has invited observers from international organizations and foreign states, including the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Particular attention is paid to the consistent development of cooperation of the electoral bodies of the two countries. The representatives of the CEC of Uzbekistan participated in the parliamentary and presidential elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan within the Mission of observers from the CIS and the SCO. In turn, representatives of the Central Election Commission of Kazakhstan, the institutions of civil society, the media regularly monitor elections in our country.
