Central Asian countries remain priority in Uzbekistan’s foreign policy — Uzbek FM
The Central Asian countries will remain the main priority in Uzbekistan’s foreign policy, said Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov speaking at the OSCE Ministerial Meeting in Hamburg, Germany.
“Preserving and protection of peace and stability in Central Asia, making it safe and sustainable are the main tasks of Uzbekistan,” he stressed.
The Foreign Minister reminded that his country will maintain its continuity and consistency in its foreign policy aimed at protection and promotion of the key interests of the country.
According to Kamilov, instability in Afghanistan poses serious threats and challenges to the region.
In this regard, he underlined the importance of the continuity of contribution to the peace and stability in this country, peaceful negotiations and achievement of the reconciliation between the central government and the main political forces, including the Taliban.
