For the first time in Uzbekistan elects a woman, Tanzila Narbaeva, as speaker of Senate

Tanzila Narbayeva was elected June 21 as Speaker of Senate of Uzbek Parliament to be the first woman to take this post in Uzbekistan.
Before this posting, Narbayeva was Deputy Prime Minister – Chairperson of the Women’s Committee.
On June 20, Elmira Basithanova was elected as Deputy Prime Minister – Chairperson of the Women’s Committee of Uzbekistan.
Previous head of Senate Nematulla Yuldashev was appointed Attorney General of the Republic.
