Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan discuss joint fight against new terrorist threats

Defense Minister of Kazakhstan Saken Zhassuzakov and Head of the Central Department of the Defense Ministry of Uzbekistan Colonel Farkhod Shermatov met in Astana on November 23 for talks, the press service of the Kazakh defense ministry said Thursday.
Current issues of Kazakh-Uzbek military and technical cooperation were discussed at the meeting.
Zhassuzakov said it is necessary to further expand defense and security ties, fight together against the new terrorist and extremist threats.
Zhassuzakov invited his Uzbek colleagues to take part in the upcoming international war games in Kazakhstan — Altyn Uki and the Army Games 2017.
