Malaysia, Saudi Arabia ink four key MoUs
PUTRAJAYA: Saudi Arabian ruler King Salman Abdulaziz Al-Saud and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak today witnessed the signing of four key memoranda of understanding (MoUs) between the Malaysian and Saudi governments.
The MoUs involved cooperation in areas of economy; science and education; labour and human resources; and exhange of news.
International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed and Saudi Arabian state minister Dr Ibrahim Al Assaf inked the MoU on economic cooperation.
This was followed by the MoU on labour and human resources, which was signed by Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri Richard Riot Jaem and Saudi Arabian Labour and Social Development Minister Dr Ali Nassir Al Ghafies.
Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh and Ali Nassir later signed the MoU on scientific and educational cooperation.
Bernama general manager Zulkefli Salleh and Saudi Press Agency president Abdullah Fahad Al Hussein inked the MoU on news exchange cooperation.
