Malaysia SHOWBIZ – No backing down: Aqish and family brace for legal battle over celebrity feud

KUALA LUMPUR: Teenage starlet Puteri Balqis, popularly known as Aqish, has revealed that she and her family are bracing for a potential legal storm following a public fallout with a fellow celebrity.
Taking to Instagram Stories, the 17-year-old actress shared that she had received a WhatsApp message suggesting that legal action was imminent, allegedly because she “lacked sufficient evidence” to back her recent claims.
“Based on the WhatsApp message received, we might be sued because we don’t have enough proof,” she wrote. “The four of us are ready. Ready to be sued, imprisoned, or face whatever consequences may come our way.”
The “four” mentioned refers to a united front consisting of Balqis, her mother, her stepfather, and her fiancé.
Refusing to be intimidated, the former child star emphasised that her family remains unshakable and will face any legal repercussions as a single unit.

She made it clear that they have no intention of retracting their earlier statements.
“We will not budge an inch from what we have said,” she asserted. “This time, no one in our family will allow my mother to be sued or handcuffed alone. The four of us will face this together.”
The tension stems from Balqis’s allegations that 21-year-old Mia Sara Nasuha had previously shamed and insulted her mother, Norashikin Abdul Aziz, causing a severe decline in her mother’s mental health.

Further digging in her heels, Aqish also alleged instances of bullying on film sets years ago.
She recalled a particularly stingy moment from her past where she was sidelined during a fan photo session because she was considered “less famous” at the time.
