Security Council Secretaries of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan discuss fight against extremism, border crossing

The situation in Afghanistan, fight against religious extremism, functioning of border crossing points were discussed during bilateral consultations between the Security Councils of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan on April 5 in Tashkent, the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan said.
The sides agreed to exchange experience in prevention of religious extremism and fight against violation of customs regulations, further enhancement of good neighborhood, stability and and sustainable development in Central Asia.
A number of initiatives and recommendations on further security cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan were formulated during the event.
