Viva Fidel – El-Comandante!!! Cuba thanks solidarity at UN on passing of Fidel Castro

HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 5 (ACN) Cuban ambassador to the United Nations, Ana Silvia Rodríguez, thanked all the people that had come to the Permanent Mission to express the condolences and solidarity on the passing of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro

According to Prensa Latina news agency, Rodriguez said representatives from over 140 countries, hundreds of activists of solidarity with Cuba organizations and UN officials, went to the diplomatic venue to pay tribute to Fidel after his death on November 25.

The Permanent Mission had the condolences book open since Monday 28 till this Sunday 4.

This Sunday, hundreds of New Yorkers from all walks of life gathered for hours in front of the Mission, located in Manhattan, with posters, pictures of the Cuban leader and chanting we are Fidel!

The Cuban diplomat highlighted the visits of UN General-Secretary Ban Ki-moon and his successor António Guterres, as well as the President of the General Assembly Peter Thomson
