Organization of Turkic States to cooperate in space

AKIPRESS.COM – Four OTS member states, including Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Türkiye and Uzbekistan, signed the Space Industrial Initial Framework Contract for Capacity Development of Collaboration within the OTS on October 6 on the sidelines of the 77th International Astronautical Congress (IAC), taking place in Antalya on October 5-9, the OTS press service reported.
The signing marks an important step towards strengthening institutionalized cooperation among OTS member states in space technologies, satellite development, research, industrial cooperation and capacity building.
OTS Secretary General Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev welcomed the signing as a concrete demonstration of the Organization’s commitment to advancing scientific, technological and industrial cooperation in the Turkic World.
He emphasized that the Framework Contract provides a strong institutional foundation for expanding joint space initiatives and transforming the OTS-SAT experience into broader and more ambitious cooperation.
The signing marks not only a new milestone in OTS space cooperation, but also a shared commitment to building the scientific, technological and industrial capabilities that will shape the future of space cooperation in the Turkic world.
