Kyrgyzstan receives up to 4 units of technical equipment as part of its International Civil Defence Organization membership

Minister of Emergency Situations Kubatbek Boronov told the Parliament Committee for Budget and Finance what assistance Kyrgyzstan gets as part of its membership in the International Civil Defence Organization (ICDO).
“We get 2 – 4 units of technical equipment for the rescuers and firefighters,” said the Minister.
Kyrgyzstan is a member of the organization since 2012, it pays 1.2 million soms a year as a membership fee, said the Minister.
The International Civil Defense Organization is an international organization founded in 1966 and based in Geneva, Switzerland. Its mission is the development of sustainable civil protection. Besides Kyrgyzstan, the ICDO also groups 55 countries.
