Certain forces continue attempting to discredit relations between Kyrgyzstan and China, President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov said at the today’s meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, who arrived in Kyrgyzstan on a state visit.

“We need to acknowledge that not all are interested in a strong friendship between Kyrgyzstan and China. Certain fores still try to discredit our relations,” President Jeenbekov stated.

Bilateral relations between Kyrgyzstan and China were resilient for all these 27 years since Kyrgyzstan’s obtaining its independence, said Chinese leader Xi Jinping during the meeting with President Sooronbai Jeenbekov.

He said the parties agreed to expand trade, economic and investment cooperation.

China is ready to increase import of agricultural products from Kyrgyzstan and welcomed further participation of Kyrgyz companies in the Expo in China.

“China will continue supporting Kyrgyzstan in its economic development and its investment projects,” Xi said.

A special attention was paid to the economic cooperation.

Creation of a joint fund of direct investments, a China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railroad construction, construction of roads in the cities of Bishkek and Osh, the creation of a multi-profile agro-industrial park in Kyrgyzstan, and digitalization of cities were on the agenda.

Jeenbekov added that deals on investment cooperation and export of Kyrgyz goods to China were inked.
