Bishkek (AKIpress) – Wang Yi in SamarkandWang Yi, the Chinese Foreign Minister, who arrived in Uzbekistan on November 12, visited the grave of the first president of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov in Samarkand, said the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry.

Interim president of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the meeting with the guest thanked the leadership of China and its President Xi Jinping for the condolences expressed over the death of Islam Karimov.

The talks of the sides were held on Sunday and addressed the development of the Uzbek-Chinese relations in trade and economic, investment and financial-technical cooperation.
