Reforms in Central Asia open up new opportunities for Korean business – KOTRA

Since establishing diplomatic relations with Central Asia more than 30 years ago, Korea has consistently developed mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields, Kim Song Soo, Regional Director of KOTRA CIS (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency), said at the Korea-Central Asia Consumer Goods Economic Cooperation at the confernce.

 Business forum titled “Korea and Central Asia Economic Cooperation Platform 2025” will be held on December 4-5 at the Sheraton Hotel in Bishkek, Ministry of Economy and Commerce informs.

According to the information, the event is organized with the support of the Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. The event will be attended by the Korean Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Economy, Korean companies focused on exporting to the markets of Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, distributors, retailers, logistics operators and consulting companies.

The purpose of the event is to expand the opportunities for small and medium-sized businesses to enter sales channels, obtain information on regulation, certification, logistics, as well as assist in the implementation of joint projects aimed at strengthening Korean-Kyrgyz partnership. This platform will allow domestic entrepreneurs to conduct personal negotiations with Korean companies, as well as organize multi-format meetings with businesses from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

On December 5, at 10:00, joint Korea-Central Asia promotional exhibition of consumer goods will be held on the 2nd floor of the Dordoi Plaza shopping center. The event will present Korean goods to a wide audience, buyers, and create conditions for retail sales of product samples and direct communication with manufacturers.
