Kyrgyzstan migrant workers remit over $1 billion back to home in 2023

AKIPRESS.COM – Migrant workers remitted more than $1 billion to Kyrgyzstan since start of the year, Social Security and Labor Ministry’s migration department chief Jypara Mambetova said.
Migrant workers remitted $1,437,600,000 to Kyrgyzstan in 2023, she said.
“If we take data since 2016, the peak was observed in 2022, when remittances reached $2.928 bilion,” she said.
