Malaysia elections: Pas will not surrender potential winning seats, says Sanusi

KOTA BHARU: Pas will not surrender seats identified as potential wins to any party for the 16th General Election (GE16).
Pas central election director Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor said these winnable seats will be identified by the party’s central and state election machinery.
“We will determine which seats have winning potential. We must not give away those seats to anyone.
“Giving away seats we can win while taking seats where we are likely to lose is what people call being sincere and foolish,” he said during his winding-up speech on the President’s Policy Address at the 70th Pas Annual Muktamar here today.
At the same time, Sanusi reminded Pas leaders not to feel inferior when negotiating with other parties, adding that the party should not show humility to those who are not humble.
“Today, Pas is an elephant. When a cat with two or three kittens passes by, we become afraid.
“They just formed a party two days ago, then came to teach us, and we followed them. That is wrong,” he said.
He also urged the party machinery to strengthen its workforce to face GE16, which is now less than 300 days away.
