Putin says: Turkiye-Russia relations at their peak
Relations between Türkiye and Russia are at their peak, built on years of experience, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Monday.
“Both sides are determined to further develop relations based on the principles of good neighborliness, partnership and mutual benefit,” he said.
“Efforts are underway to establish a natural gas distribution center in Türkiye, and we have various interesting projects and collaborations in trade and high technology,” the president added.
Russia proposed setting up a gas hub in Türkiye last year as Moscow worked to reroute its energy exports after European countries sharply cut their imports from Russia in response to its actions in Ukraine.
Putin mentioned the upcoming celebration of Volunteer Day in Russia and highlighted a competition involving volunteer teams from 95 countries.
The two countries cooperate on several regional issues, besides their bilateral relations, including in Syria under the Astana format, in the Black Sea and in the South Caucasus.
He noted that a team from Türkiye won in the category of supporting low-income families.
