KUALA LUMPUR: His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, has revoked former Negri Sembilan menteri besar Datuk Isa Samad “Tan Sri” title.
The revocation follows Isa’s conviction on nine corruption charges involving RM3 million linked to Felda Investment Corporation’s acquisition of the Merdeka Palace Hotel & Suites in Kuching, Sarawak.
Isa, 77, has been serving a six-year prison sentence at Sungai Buloh Prison since Feb 10 after the Federal Court reinstated both the jail term and fine.
