KUALA LUMPUR: Pas president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang visited Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad at the former prime minister’s residence in Seri Kembangan this morning.

In a Facebook post today, Abdul Hadi said he prayed for Dr Mahathir to remain patient following the death of his wife, Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohamad Ali, on Sept 28.

No matter your political views, seeing a National Icon treated like this just doesn't sit right. This is the man who helped put Malaysia on the world stage,” one netizen commented. 🎨

He also prayed for the late Dr Siti Hasmah to continue receiving Allah’s blessings.

“I conveyed to Tun Dr Mahathir a hadith of Prophet Muhammad SAW.

“Indeed, to Allah belongs what He takes and to Him belongs what He gives. Everything has an appointed time. So be patient and hope for Allah’s reward,” he said.

Dr Siti Hasmah died at the National Heart Institute (IJN) on Sept 28 at the age of 100.

She was laid to rest with a state dignitary’s funeral ceremony at Makam Pusara Negara in Precinct 20, Putrajaya.
