President of Azerbaijan appoints his wife First Vice President

AKIPRESS.COM – President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has appointed his wife, Mehriban Aliyeva, First Vice President, Azerbaijan media report Tuesday.
The appointment came following the results of the constitutional referendum of 2016, according to the reports.
Aliyeva, 52, is the First Lady of Azerbaijan since 2003, head of Azerbaijan’s Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the wife of its current president Ilham Aliyev.
